Negotiations between Spokane station KXLY-TV and the DuMont Company of New Jersey for a number of top television network shows was announced today by Norman Hawkins, KXLY television manager.

“We have a letter of agreement to bring Spokane-area audiences several shows of the DuMont Television Network,” he said. “We anticipate the contract will be completed within a few days.”

KXLY-TV is the outlet for Columbia Broadcasting System network shows, and the Spokane station already has contracted for a number of outstanding CBS programs. The DuMont offerings would serve to augment the planned daily television fare for Spokane and the Inland Empire, Hawkins said.
