Spokane radio stations KREM-FM and KLHT-AM have been sold to an Arizona corporation.

Gary Taylor, general manager of both stations, said Friday that King Broadcasting Co. of Seattle, which has owned the stations for more than 20 years, has sold them to Highsmith Broadcasting Co. Approval by the Federal Communications Commission is expected in about 20 days.

No purchase price was disclosed.

Taylor said Highsmith officials have told him there will be no staffing or programming changes in the immediate future. The two stations employ 21 people.

The transaction has no effect on KREM-TV, also owned by King Broadcasting, Taylor said.
