Early FCC application for Channel 28 (1967)

Notice is hereby given that on October 17, 1967, there was tendered for filing with the Federal Communications Commission at Washington, D.C., an application by Great Northwest Telecasting Company for a construction permit for a new commercial television broadcast station to be operated on Channel 28 in Spokane, Washington, with an effective radiated power of 84 33 kilowatts visual and 16 87 kilowatts aural, and with an antenna height above average terrain of 1828 feet. The transmitter location will be at Big Rock, Spokane County, Washington. The main studio location is to be determined. The applicant’s officers, directors, and stockholders are: Chester C. Davis, Jean Ferry Davis, and Harold M. Jaffe; all except Mr. Jaffe hold more than a 10 pct. ownership interest in the corporation. A copy of the application and related material is available for public inspection at the offices of Turner, Stoeve & Layman, Paulsen Building, Spokane, Washington.
