Approval Placed on KXLY-TV Sale

WASHINGTON, Jan. 6. (UP)—The Federal Communications Commission today approved the sale of radio station KXLY and station KXLY-TV, Spokane, to the jointly owned Northern Pacific Radio and Northern Pacific Television corporations for $1,723,500.

The radio station is owned by the Symons Broadcasting Company, composed of E. B. Craney and associates. Bing Crosby and the Symons Broadcasting Company held interests in the TV station. Three commissioners on the seven-member agency dissented, favoring further inquiry into the sales contract.
