TV-2 Hearing Is Adjourned

June 4, 1953

WASHINGTON, June 4 (AP)—A Communications Commission hearing on applications for television Channel 2 in Spokane, Wash. was recessed indefinitely today.

The hearing involves Television Spokane Inc., owned by operators of Spokane station KNEW, and Louis Wasmer Inc., owner of rival station KREM.

Purpose of the recess was two-fold: to await return of Burl Hagadone, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, publisher, now in Havre, Mont., where his wife was hospitalized early this week, and to await commission action on motions to delete financial qualifications of Television Spokane as an issue and to add a further engineering issue.

No specific date was set for resumption.
