May 30, 1953

Spokane Daily Chronicle

The second part of a hearing on contested television Channel 2 for the Spokane area will start Monday before the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C.

The channel is being sought by both stations KNEW (Television Spokane) and KREM. The former station will start the presentation of its case when the hearing resumes next week.

At the completion of the case for KREM yesterday, Louis A. Wasmer was questioned extensively concerning his alleged radio station “deals.” Television Spokane representatives contended he has engaged in “trafficking” station licenses.
