Hearings Scheduled on 3d TV Station
WASHINGTON, May 18 (AP)—A hearing will begin May 26 on a contest between radio stations KREM and KNEW to determine which shall operate a television station on Channel 2 in Spokane, Wash.
Examiner William G. Butts set the date today at a prehearing conference called to outline procedural matters.
KREM, owned and operated by Louis Wasmer, veteran Spokane radioman, will begin its presentation first, followed by Television Spokane, Inc., a subsidiary of Inland Empire Broadcasting Company, operator of KNEW.
Burl C. Hagadone, Coeur d’Alene, is president, director and general manager of Television Spokane.
