KXLY-TV to Get More Equipment
Spokane Daily Chronicle
Additional equipment which should help operational problems of KXLY-TV is expected here tomorrow, W. Norman Hawkins, TV manager, said today.
“We made test patterns Saturday night, but the winter weather on Mount Spokane caught up with us yesterday,” he said. “Heavy snow put both telephone and power lines on the mountain out of commission.”
Edward Craney, general manager, said regular tests will be continued late at night as soon as service is restored. The new equipment, he said, is to augment microwave relays between Mount Spokane and the studios at W315 Sprague.
