TV in Spokane Is Seen By the Winter of 1953

February 21, 1952

The Spokesman-Review

If government restrictions don’t interfere, Spokane should have television by the winter of 1953, Hugh Feltis, Seattle advertising consultant, said here yesterday.

As guest speaker at the weekly Advertising and Sales Association’s meeting at the Desert Hotel, Feltis said three channels will be available to western cities when federal restrictions are lifted and that Spokane “stands a good chance to be allotted one of them.”

At the present time most of the materials used in construction of new television stations are on the critical defense list.
