A wired system which will transmit a live show to television receivers within the Spokane Hotel will be exhibited here next week.

Sponsored by the hotel and presented under the facilities of radio station KXLY and the Pacific Northwest “XL” stations, a show featuring audience participation will be sent to the first-floor rooms of the hotel.

The special prevue will start Monday night and run for several nights thereafter. Admission will be free and receivers will be spotted for viewing in the Silver Grill Dining Room, the Silver Room and the Silver Ballrooms.

The shows will start at 5 p.m. each day and run until near midnight.

Announcement of the exhibit, which is known as a “television chain,” came from Clark Erwin, president of the Hotel Spokane, and Ed Craney, president of KXLY.

Craney said $50,000 worth of special equipment will be brought to Spokane for the demonstration.

The public will join in audience participation shows and be able to see themselves at the same time.
